Milan, 24 May (LaPresse) – "After the final judgement was handed down by the Court of Cassation following a declaration of inadmissibility of the appeal lodged by the Stasi defence, Dr Venditti was co-assigned (and therefore not solely assigned) to an investigation file on Andrea Sempio, originating from a complaint lodged by the Stasi defence. On the basis of the findings certified by the consultants of the Milan Court of Appeal (sic!), which had never been contested by the Attorney General's Office years earlier, Dr. Venditti nevertheless ordered new investigations, at the end of which he decided to request the dismissal of the investigation, given the uselessness and futility of the scientific evidence presented, as certified by the consultants of the Carabinieri's Scientific Investigations Department and after evaluating the results of the subsequent investigations promptly ordered'. This is what lawyer Domenico Aiello, legal representative of the former prosecutor of Pavia, Mario Venditti, now retired, who in 2017 decided to dismiss the first investigation into Andrea Sempio for the murder of Chiara Poggi, specified in a note.
