Milan, 25 May (LaPresse) – ‘We will be unyielding, we are working to ensure that absolute barriers are erected against the risk of possible infiltration by criminal networks. We are gearing up for this extremely challenging task and are working to shield it from criminal interests.’ This was stated by Interior Minister Matteo Piantedosi at the Festival of Economics in Trento.Regarding the controversy of recent days, Piantedosi explained that, from his point of view, the debate has been clarified ‘from a methodological point of view’ because ‘from a substantive point of view, the objective is the same: to save the project from criminal interests.’ ‘There have been some missteps, but the goal is shared,’ he added.
