Naples, May 30 (LaPresse) – Martina Carbonaro, the 14-year-old girl killed in Afragola (Naples) on the evening of May 26, was struck on the head with a stone by her ex-boyfriend, 18-year-old Alessio Tucci, after she rejected his attempt to hug her.

Tucci made the statement during his preliminary hearing before the judge for preliminary investigations (GIP) at the Naples North Court, held this morning at the Poggioreale prison in Naples.

Defended by attorney Mario Mangazzo, Tucci said that he and his ex-girlfriend had entered an abandoned building near the Moccia Stadium in Afragola, a place they often visited during their relationship.

“He tried to hug her, she refused, and following her reaction, while her back was turned, he struck her,” the lawyer said upon leaving the prison. “Then he delivered another couple of blows with the same stone,” he added, “and when he realized Martina was no longer alive, he turned her body over and covered it with some furnishings found inside the abandoned house.”
