Milan, June 3 (LaPresse) – The Milan Public Prosecutor's Office has requested the indictment of Leonardo Apache La Russa and his friend Tommaso Gilardoni for revenge porn in the case involving a young woman who had reported a sexual assault that allegedly took place on the night of May 18–19, 2023, at the home of Senate President Ignazio La Russa. While prosecutors have requested the dismissal of the sexual assault charge, Deputy Prosecutor Rosaria Stagnaro and Senior Prosecutor Letizia Mannella are pushing for a trial over the dissemination of a “sexually explicit video” without the woman’s consent. The woman, now 24, claims the video was meant to remain private. La Russa Jr. and Gilardoni, a 26-year-old DJ from Como, are represented by lawyers Adriano Bazzoni, Vinicio Nardo, and Alessio Lanzi. They face the aggravated charge of unlawful dissemination of sexually explicit images or videos via telecommunication networks. The two allegedly shared a video of sexual activity on a couch—intended to remain private—via WhatsApp chats. The request for trial, which must be evaluated by a judge for the preliminary hearing (GUP), includes forensic copies of the cell phones and a digital forensic report prepared by technical experts Maria Pia Izzo and Antonia Balzarotti. A separate hearing to oppose the dismissal of the sexual assault charge is scheduled for September 25 before Judge Rossana Mongiardo. The woman, who filed the complaint, is represented by attorney Stefano Benvenuto.
