Genoa, 4 June (LaPresse) – Riots broke out inside Marassi prison in Genoa in the early afternoon today. The dynamics of the incident, which appears to have been triggered by clashes between inmates, are still unclear. Around fifty people are believed to have been involved in the riots. The situation inside is being handled by prison police, while the facility is being guarded outside by the Carabinieri. Initial reports indicate that two people have been injured.
