Rome, June 8 (LaPresse) – One of the two bodies, that of the adult woman, was covered with a bag but not placed inside it, contrary to initial reports from sources cited by the press.
The bodies of the woman and the little girl found yesterday afternoon in Villa Pamphili Park in Rome are believed, according to information obtained by LaPresse, to be mother and daughter.
The two are reportedly of Eastern European origin.
Investigators are searching for a man who was seen a few hours before the discovery wandering through the park carrying something in his arms—possibly the body of the child.
The two may have belonged to the large community of homeless people who inhabit the secluded areas of Villa Pamphili.
