Rome, June 10 (LaPresse) – The preliminary hearing to decide whether Louis Dassilva will stand trial for the murder of Pierina Paganelli will be held on June 23 before the preliminary hearing judge at the Court of Rimini. On May 22, the Rimini Public Prosecutor's Office notified the Senegalese citizen, who was arrested on July 17, 2024, on charges of voluntary manslaughter for killing the 78-year-old woman in the parking garage of an apartment complex, that the preliminary investigation had been concluded. On April 14, the judge of the Rimini court, Vinicio Cantarini, rejected the request for release filed by Riaro Fabbri, Louis Dassilva's defense attorney. Dassilva is charged with voluntary manslaughter aggravated by premeditation, cruelty, abject and futile motives, and committing the crime at night, taking advantage of the conditions of time, place, and person, such as to hinder private defense.
