Milan, June 21 (LaPresse) – The Functional Center for Natural Risk Monitoring of the Lombardy Region has issued a yellow weather alert (ordinary) for the risk of thunderstorms starting from midnight today, Saturday June 21, until 6 a.m. tomorrow, Sunday June 22.
During the weather alert, citizens are advised to be especially careful near flood-prone areas along the two rivers and underpasses. Moreover, people are reminded not to stand under or near trees, scaffolding at construction sites, outdoor terraces, and tents. It is important to secure objects and pots on balconies as well as any items that could be moved by bad weather.
Attention should be paid to weather phenomena during outdoor events to prevent dangerous situations. The Municipal Operational Center (COC) of Civil Protection will be active to monitor the situation and coordinate any necessary interventions in the city.
