Rome, June 23 (LaPresse) – On June 3, four days before the murder of little Andromeda, Francis Kaufmann — the man arrested for her killing and that of her mother, Anastasia Trofimova — was involved in a violent altercation inside the Starbucks at Piazza San Silvestro, in the center of the capital. It was June 3. On that occasion, according to the store owner, Kaufmann had a heated argument with another man. This is revealed in a report by the Carabinieri sent to the Rome prosecutor’s office.
"The man who was attacked already had a bandage on his temple," the store owner told the Carabinieri, adding that he had asked an employee to contact some officers in nearby Largo Chigi. However, the police reportedly responded that they were engaged in another operation and could not intervene.
Inside the café, along with Kaufmann, were also Anastasia, 28, and little Andromeda. Security camera footage confirmed their presence. After the assault, Kaufmann allegedly stood up calmly and left the premises with his partner and the child, heading toward Piazza del Popolo.
