Rome, 29 June (LaPresse) – ‘In acknowledging ENAV's press release, TIM specifies that data transmission is guaranteed by redundant systems so that if one channel fails, another backup channel is activated.’ This is what the company explains in a statement. The Group ‘confirms that it has been constantly operational to monitor the situation and guarantee the levels of reliability required by the system, both for the component under its contractual responsibility and in support of ENAV,’ the statement continues. ‘Finally, noting that the operation of the radar depends on various systems belonging to different operators and based on the information in our possession, TIM considers itself unrelated to the events,’ the statement specifies. ‘We are confident that the ongoing analysis will establish the chain of responsibility, also with a view to ensuring that such an incident does not happen again.’
