Terrorism, Bologna: investigation into a 24-year-old for jihadist propaganda on social media

Milan, 1 July (LaPresse) – He had posted numerous reels and posts on social media that referred to jihadist propaganda typical of terrorist organisations such as ISIS. These included numerous songs, videos and other multimedia content referring, among other things, to the deeds of mujahideen of the Islamic State, perpetrators of suicide attacks in the name and on behalf of that terrorist organisation, or calls for armed jihad. For this reason, a 24-year-old man of Moroccan origin, residing in the province of Bergamo, was identified and subjected to a personal and computer search by the Bologna Police for the crime of incitement to commit a crime committed through electronic means. The investigation was conducted by the District Anti-Terrorism Directorate of the Public Prosecutor's Office of Bologna. The young internet user had over 5,000 followers.
