Milan, July 1 (LaPresse) – A workplace accident occurred in Tezze sul Brenta, in the Vicenza area, around 3:30 PM, where two workers involved in meat processing were working in a pit when they were overcome by fumes coming from a sewage tank. One of the workers is now in serious condition, while the other’s condition is less critical. According to initial reports, while working, one of the two leaned toward the sewage tank to retrieve an object, inhaled the fumes, and became asphyxiated. His colleague tried to help him but, feeling dizzy, immediately pulled back, managing to call for help. Emergency responders from Suem 118 resuscitated the other worker, intubated him, and transported him to the San Bassiano Hospital in Bassano del Grappa.
