Milan, 5 July (LaPresse) – Results are awaited from the detectors installed late yesterday morning by Arpa Lazio to monitor the air in the Via Gordiani area of Rome, where an explosion occurred at the LPG depot at 8.18 a.m. yesterday morning. The sampler was installed by technicians from the Regional Environmental Protection Agency and it will take some time to collect the sample and carry out the analysis. Arpa Lazio explains that sampling is necessary to verify the presence and quantity of chemical pollutants. Standard procedures in the event of fires involve testing for dioxins, PAHs (polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons) and PCBs (polychlorinated biphenyls), as these are substances that can generally form as a result of events of this nature.
