Milan, July 18 (LaPresse) – "I ran my entire campaign on the theme of ‘regeneration’, and I can't allow towers to pop up where there is currently nothing."
This is what the Mayor of Milan, Giuseppe Sala, under investigation in a probe by the Prosecutor’s Office into urban planning, reportedly said in a message acquired by the financial police from the phone seized from Triennale President Stefano Boeri.
"I’ll be happy to meet with you, but I must say upfront that the project Giancarlo showed me is not something I feel politically comfortable supporting," Sala told Boeri on October 22, 2022.
"Also—this is just my personal opinion as someone who has lived there—I don’t think the current state of the area is a problem for the residents," he added.
