Naples, 19 July (LaPresse) – ‘The magistrates in charge of the investigation’ into the Garlasco murder, ‘who are constantly updating the Public Prosecutor on the accuracy of the checks carried out, will only make an official statement at the end of the investigation, when the necessary decisions have been taken’. This is what we read in a note signed by the Pavia prosecutor, Fabio Napoleone, released ‘given the continuous attribution to the Pavia Public Prosecutor's Office of assessments, reconstructions, ongoing activities and even states of mind’. Napoleone considers it “necessary to clarify” that 'any interpretation coming from individuals outside the Office, in the absence of official statements, only generates confusion, giving rise to fictitious discussions in which consultants, experts or opinion makers comment on hypothetical choices made by the Public Prosecutor's Office based on conjecture. Therefore, any reference to the Pavia Public Prosecutor's Office, including those recently published, must be considered unfounded unless supported by official communications."
