Rome, 22 July (LaPresse) – Pope Leo XIV, in a telegram signed by Vatican Secretary of State Cardinal Pietro Parolin, expressed his ‘deep sorrow’ for the victims of the plane crash in Bangladesh ‘involving students from Milestone School and College’. The Pope, the text reads, ‘entrusts the deceased to the merciful love of the Almighty,’ praying ‘that their families and friends may be consoled in their grief and for the healing and comfort of the injured.’ The Pope ‘invokes divine blessings of peace and strength upon the entire school community and all those affected by this tragedy.’
