Milan, 22 July (LaPresse) – Following the resignation of Giancarlo Tancredi, who is involved in an investigation by the Milanese judiciary, the Mayor of Milan, Giuseppe Sala, has “temporarily” delegated his powers to Deputy Mayor Anna Scavuzzo. Sala himself made the announcement on the sidelines of the inauguration of the Smartcitylab. “I am temporarily, and I emphasise temporarily, assigning the powers to the deputy mayor, because someone has to be given these powers, so we will see how Anna Scavuzzo gets on. It is a temporary solution,” he said. 'I don't want to make a hasty decision that could lead us to make the wrong decisions. ‘It is clear that this is not the solution we can work with because there is still a long way to go. However, at the moment, this is what we have to do. I would not go so far as to say that we will decide within a week or two if I want to make the right choice calmly.’ ‘I would also like to take this opportunity to thank Tancredi, he has done a great job, I believe very much in his honesty and I am sorry for how it ended, let's look ahead,’ he concluded.
