Milan, 22 July (LaPresse) – ‘The deadline of 10 November must be respected for the sale of the San Siro stadium, so there is still time.’ This was stated by the mayor of Milan, Giuseppe Sala, on the sidelines of the inauguration of Smartcitylab Milano, speaking about the administrative process for the sale of the stadium. ‘It is true that we would have preferred to begin discussions in the Council in July, but at this moment it is really not a wise thing to do, so we will start again in September,’ explained Sala, confirming the administration's intention to move forward: ‘I confirm that we will proceed when we have everything in place, and then we will bring the decision to the Council.’ On the possibility that the measure will be approved by September, he specified: “It will be approved, but it will depend on the Council's decision. Let's say that, in principle, by the end of September, the Council will have to express its opinion if we want to comply, as I believe is necessary, with the restriction imposed by the other supervisory authority”.
