Milan, Aug 4 (LaPresse) – This evening, Pope Leo XIV visited young Ignacio Gonzálvez, a Spanish youth who came to Rome for the Jubilee of Youth and was recently hospitalized at Bambin Gesù. The Pope spent time in a warm and heartfelt conversation with him and his family. At the end of the visit, he greeted several patients in the oncology ward. Before returning to the Vatican, he also met privately with some relatives of the young patients, as well as children and hospital staff. In an emotional atmosphere, he recited the Our Father with those present and gave them his blessing.
