Rome, 28 August (LaPresse) – Stolen photos, revolting comments: even TG1 journalists ended up on the sexist website shut down by the postal police, and their complaint was aired during the 8 p.m. news. ‘I'm on the site too, but you could be there as well,’ says Laura Chimenti. ‘Believe me, it's terrible. We are not objects, bodies to be used and humiliated. Seeing our images with certain comments hurts us as public figures and you who are not famous people. We must say no,’ she urges, ‘to this squalid logic of the web. Let's report it.’ ‘It's like being subjected to violence,’ denounces Maria Soave, ‘it's as if our bodies were objects at the mercy of anyone. It's not fun, it's just violence.’ ‘It was horrible to see a photo of me exposed to sexist comments,’ adds Valentina Bisti, addressing the women listening: "It's not our fault, we're not the ones who should be ashamed. We must report it.‘ Giorgia Cardinaletti was also the target of “disgusting comments”, she says: ’Let's report it to dismantle this diabolical digital machine that feeds the herd mentality."
