Milan, 4 September (LaPresse) – Fifty-one migrants travelling on a dinghy with navigation difficulties due to bad weather were rescued by the Open Arms sailing ship Astral. Among them, according to the NGO, were six women and three children. The migrants, from Gambia, Ghana, Nigeria and Mali, had left the coast of Libya three days earlier. The Astral rescue ship distributed life jackets, food and water to those on board. Subsequently, the NGO Solidair came to the rescue, transferring all passengers to a safe location.
