Milan, 18 September (LaPresse) – ‘I don't think violence is the answer, and that's the message we want to send.’ These were the words of Gino Cecchettin, father of Giulia Cecchettin, who was stabbed to death by her ex-boyfriend Filippo Turetta, who was attacked in prison by another inmate, commenting on the incident. ‘I'm not happy that he was attacked,’ he said, speaking in Pordenone where he participated in the Pordenonelegge festival, ‘because it means we have work to do. Even though incidents of violence can happen in contexts such as prison, they are acts that must be condemned.’ ‘We should make people understand that the feelings that lead to this are wrong and must be condemned,’ he added.
