Rome, Sept. 22 (LaPresse) – Various pro-Palestinian demonstrations from across Rome have converged in Piazza dei Cinquecento. Groups of protesters are stationed at the entrances of Termini Station on the Via Giolitti side, Piazza dei Cinquecento, and Via Marsala.
Thousands of people have gathered in the square — over 20,000, according to initial data from the police headquarters. The demonstration is ongoing in Piazza dei Cinquecento, where the station's operations are currently being maintained through controlled access points.
There are numerous chants in support of Palestinian resistance and accusations of complicity directed at Prime Minister Meloni's government. From the main stage near the statue of John Paul II, various speakers are taking turns addressing the crowd.
Many tourists arriving at the station have experienced disruptions, forced to turn back with their luggage. Everything is taking place peacefully so far.
