Flotilla, 10,000 march in Milan: applause from stranded motorists

Milan, 2 October (LaPresse) – Ten thousand people took to the streets in Milan in solidarity with the Global Sumud Flotilla. The march started from Piazzale Loreto and crossed Viale Abruzzi and Viale Regina Giovanna, before converging on Corso Buenos Aires and then Piazza San Babila and Piazza della Scala. There was major disruption to traffic, which was paralysed for hours, but many motorists in traffic jams honked their horns and applauded the demonstrators. ‘I'll be home at midnight, but I'm with you,’ said one man from his car.
