Macerata, 13 October (LaPresse) – The fashion and footwear world has lost one of its most important names: Cesare Paciotti died this evening. The designer from Civitanova Marche (Macerata) suffered a fatal illness after 7.30 p.m. at his home. Together with his sister Paola, in the 1980s he took over the reins of the artisan shoe workshop opened by his parents in 1948, turning it into a symbol of footwear. From the Marche region to Hollywood and Asia: shoes made in the Macerata district are worn by big names in cinema and an international clientele. High-quality leather, craftsmanship and the iconic dagger logo are the strengths that have extended to leather goods and accessories. A highly distinctive brand for its collections, global success and rebirth, always with Civitanova Marche as its reference point. The date of the funeral of the “king of shoes” has not yet been made official.
