Vatican City (Vatican), Oct. 23 (LaPresse) – "I renew my appeal that there be no tolerance for any form of abuse in the Church." This is written by Pope Leo XIV in a message sent to the Church in the Philippines, which is currently gathering the child protection body of the Episcopal Conference. "I hope, therefore," the Pope continues, "that our deliberations lead to the implementation of essential policies and practices that ensure transparency in the management of rites, promote a culture of vigilance, and safeguard 'these little ones' of the Lord. By doing so, the Church in the Philippines and beyond will once again be authentic witnesses of Christ, the Good Shepherd, who always 'loves and takes care of His flock.'"
