Milan, 27 October (LaPresse) – More knives have been seized from Luigi Morcaldi, the 64-year-old man arrested and currently in prison for killing his ex-partner Luciana Ronchi on Wednesday morning in Milan. The seizure, carried out by the local police and coordinated by public prosecutors Leonardo Lesti, Giovanni Tarzia and deputy Letizia Mannella, took place in a garage belonging to the suspect, not far from the apartment in Bruzzano where the 62-year-old woman lived. She was stabbed at least 14 times outside her home and found unconscious among parked cars. Investigators are also working to decide whether to amend the charges against Morcaldi to include the aggravating circumstance of premeditation in addition to that of a broken relationship. In addition to arriving at the scene of the crime already armed, there is testimony from the building's caretaker, who stated that she saw Morcaldi in the area “very agitated and angry” at 6.30 p.m. on the evening before the murder. He was “angry with his wife and, shouting, claimed that she should be the one to leave their home”, she said.
