Vatican City (Vatican), 29 October (LaPresse) – ‘All my predecessors have condemned anti-Semitism in clear terms. And so I too confirm that the Church does not tolerate anti-Semitism and combats it, on the basis of the Gospel itself.’ Pope Leo XIV said this during Wednesday's general audience dedicated to the 60th anniversary of “Nostra aetate”. ‘We cannot deny that there have also been misunderstandings, difficulties and conflicts during this period, but these have never prevented the continuation of dialogue. Even today, we must not allow political circumstances and the injustices of some to distract us from friendship, especially since we have achieved so much so far,’ added the Pope.
