Rome : appel aux enquêteurs, les personnes disposant d'images vidéo de l'effondrement de la tour doivent s'adresser aux carabiniers

Rome, 6 November (LaPresse) – Investigations continue unabated into the collapse of the Torre dei Conti at the Imperial Forums in Rome, which caused the death of Octay Stroici, a 66-year-old Romanian worker who was trapped for over eleven hours under the rubble. Investigators are appealing to anyone who witnessed the initial moments of the collapse or filmed videos of the scene. This material could be crucial in understanding the dynamics that led to the collapse. All witnesses are invited to contact the Carabinieri of the Compagnia Roma Centro, who are in charge of the investigation. Meanwhile, the Rome Public Prosecutor's Office continues to acquire all documentation on the renovation work, from the tender documents for the three contractors to the files on the administrative process followed for the awarding of the contracts. The documents under examination also include the 2022 decree authorising the work and the technical report of 30 May 2025, which allegedly certified the stability of the building. In addition to the workers and representatives of the companies involved, those who had previously reported possible structural problems will also be heard. The investigation, coordinated by a team of magistrates led by Antonino Di Maio and Giovanni Conzo, with deputies Mario Dovinola and Fabio Santoni, is currently proceeding against persons unknown for culpable disaster, manslaughter and negligent injury.
