Milan, 27 November (LaPresse) – The attack on Marco Veronese, a 39-year-old entrepreneur killed on the night of 23 October in Collegno, in the province of Turin, outside his parents' home, was captured on CCTV cameras in the area. The video was released this morning. Based on these images, the Turin police, coordinated by the public prosecutor's office headed by Giovanni Bombardieri, proceeded to arrest the alleged perpetrator of the murder, Michele Nicastri, the boyfriend of the victim's ex-partner, with whom he had children. On 4 November, the public prosecutor's office announced the arrest of Nicastri, “a person romantically linked to the victim's ex-partner, who confessed to the murder”. The investigation, conducted by the Carabinieri of the Investigative Unit of the Operational Department of the Provincial Command of Turin and the Rivoli Company, made it possible to reconstruct the arrival at the scene of the crime of the alleged perpetrator of the murder, and “his subsequent escape, using a vehicle whose route was followed and reconstructed” by investigators, thanks to the acquisition and examination by the Carabinieri “of recordings from hundreds of public and private video surveillance systems”.
