Palermo, Dec. 10 (LaPresse) – The Palermo mobile police, coordinated by the Palermo District Anti-Mafia Directorate, carried out a major anti-mafia operation last night across the city’s mafia districts. Investigators under the command of Antonio Sfameni executed 50 precautionary measures ordered by the investigating judge at the request of the prosecutor’s office led by Maurizio de Lucia. The fifty suspects targeted by these measures face charges including mafia-type criminal association, extortion, fictitious ownership of assets, association aimed at drug trafficking, and drug dealing. Further details will be provided during a press conference scheduled for 10 a.m. at the mobile police offices in the Palermo police headquarters.
