Trento, Jan. 3 (LaPresse) – More than 100 tourists are currently stranded on a chairlift that suddenly stopped at high altitude in the San Martino di Castrozza area. According to reports, the area affected by the large-scale rescue operation is Malga Val Cigolera. Mountain rescue and firefighters are on site. No injuries have been reported. “Technical teams are trying to get the system back up and running,” said Mountain Rescue. “If this is not possible, evacuation will have to proceed.”
