Rome, Jan. 6 (LaPresse) – A moment of silence will be observed in all nightclubs across Italy to commemorate the young victims of the Crans-Montana tragedy. The initiative was created by two former Neapolitan PRs, Alessandro and Andrea Cannavale, and is supported by SILB-FIPE Campania, chaired by Alessandro Esposito. All DJ consoles will be turned off at 1 a.m. on Saturday, January 10.
“The young lives lost in Crans-Montana must not and cannot be forgotten,” says Alessandro Cannavale. “It is essential to turn such tragedies into moments of collective awareness so that they never happen again. The initiative to turn off the consoles for one minute in all nightclubs across Italy is a simple gesture but carries enormous symbolic value, allowing all of us to reflect on the extreme seriousness of what happened, even in places of entertainment. As it should be. I hope it serves as an encouragement to those working in the sector to prevent dangerous situations and to institutions to carry out stricter inspections. It is possible to reconcile nightlife with fun and safety – you just have to want it.”
