Aosta, Jan. 10 (LaPresse) – The Aosta Valley Mountain Rescue intervened following an avalanche near Pointe de la Pierre in the municipality of Gressan, Aosta Valley. According to reports, one person is involved. The alarm was raised to the Central Rescue Coordination Center (CUS) by two witnesses. At the moment, helicopter access is impossible due to poor visibility at high altitude, and rescuers are proceeding by ground with teams composed of SAV and SAGF technicians and two search-and-rescue dogs, along with the support of a snowcat provided by the ski management company to get as close as possible to the accident site.
