Bergamo, 12 January (LaPresse) – Moussa Sangare asked to leave the courtroom during the closing arguments of Giacomo Maj, his defence lawyer. ‘I would like to leave because I don't want to hear words against me. It seems that he is blaming me and asking for a lesser sentence, but I am not guilty,’ he told the Bergamo Assize Court, presided over by Patrizia Ingrascì. Sangare was taken away from the courtroom by prison guards to be returned to prison. ‘I don't know what the lawyer is saying about the whole case,’ Sangare added. ‘I have judged myself innocent, so it makes no sense for me to be here.’ ‘I will wait for the final judgement,’ set for Monday 19 January.
