Milan, Jan 16 (LaPresse) – The Court of Cassation has rejected the investigation by the Brescia Prosecutor’s Office into former deputy prosecutor of Pavia, Mario Venditti, for alleged corruption in judicial acts involving “20–30 thousand euros” that he allegedly received from Giuseppe Sempio, father of Andrea Sempio, to shelve his son’s position in 2017 from the accusation of having killed Chiara Poggi. From the judges of the Sixth Criminal Section of the Supreme Court comes a “total rejection” of the appeal filed by the Brescia Chief Prosecutor, Francesco Prete, and prosecutor Claudia Moregola against the order with which the Brescia Review Court on November 17, 2025 annulled the seizures of 3 mobile phones, 2 PCs, 2 iPads, 2 hard disks and 2 USB flash drives used by the 72-year-old retired magistrate, carried out on October 24.
