Milan, 22 January (LaPresse) – Alfonso Signorini's lawyers, Domenico Aiello and Daniela Missaglia, have filed a complaint against Google Italy and Google Ireland. According to reports, the legal representatives of Google Italia and Google Ireland have been placed under investigation for aiding and abetting aggravated and continued defamation. Despite repeated requests, the web hosting company ‘has not removed defamatory content, personal correspondence and documents obtained illegally, aggravating the consequences of the crime day after day’. “Google's responses, in addition to being late and formulaic, effectively denied the request to remove the content on YouTube and in Fabrizio Corona's programme Falsissimo”. According to Aiello, this behaviour “constitutes malicious and conscious complicity in the defamation perpetrated by Corona against Signorini”. Similar initiatives will be taken against Meta and TikTok.
