Naples, 27 January (LaPresse) – A drug dealing ring dealing in kobret and cocaine in the so-called “33” district of Scampia, in the northern part of Naples, has been dismantled by the State Police in execution of a pre-trial detention order against 28 people (24 in prison and 4 under house arrest), investigated for the crime of criminal association for the purpose of illicit drug trafficking, aggravated by the number of associates and the mafia method. The order was issued by the investigating magistrate of the Court of Naples at the request of the Neapolitan District Anti-Mafia Directorate. The investigations carried out by the Naples Mobile Squad began in the spring of 2022 following statements made by a justice collaborator about the existence of a kobret and cocaine dealing ring operating in the so-called “33” of Scampia, the former SC3 lot in Via Arcangelo Ghisleri, and linked to the Amato-Pagano Camorra clan. It was found that the criminal group was not only responsible for wholesale supply and subsequent retail sales in the “33” area of Scampia, but also for home deliveries or street deliveries by appointment in the city districts of Chiaiano, Miano and Colli Aminei.
