Rome, 25 February (LaPresse) – The Minister of Education and Merit, Giuseppe Valditara, has signed a decree allocating €30 million for the implementation of educational projects to promote care and respect for parks and school property by students. ‘This is an initiative of great social value, which schools can implement as part of their civic education activities, also in collaboration with local authorities, associations and foundations. In addition, once redeveloped, public spaces can be transformed into real outdoor educational environments,’ said Minister Valditara. The Minister also issued a note to promote the care and cleanliness of school environments, inviting managers and staff to raise awareness among pupils and establish daily practices to be followed in schools, in line with the new Guidelines for the teaching of civic education and the Statute of secondary school pupils. For example, at the end of lessons, students must leave the classroom in the same condition as it was at the beginning of the day. “Making students responsible for the proper use of public property is important for developing a culture of respect for community assets. Living and studying in clean and tidy educational environments and taking care of school property is an important exercise in civil coexistence,” added the Minister.
