Rome: Meloni and Nordio campaign posters set alight at a rally; three people identified

Rome, 15 March (LaPresse) – The first three individuals involved in the incident in which placards were set alight during yesterday’s anti-government demonstration in the capital against the referendum have been identified. The placards depicted the faces of Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, Justice Minister Carlo Nordio, and the President of the United States of America, Donald Trump. The identification, carried out by Rome’s Digos unit in collaboration with other Digos units across Italy, has enabled the three protesters to be named, two of whom are from Padua and one from Naples. All three will be reported to the judicial authorities, whilst further investigations will continue, including analysis of the footage gathered, with a view to identifying any other individuals involved.
