Migrants, Sea-Watch: ‘All 57 people have disembarked in Trapani’

Rome, 18 March (LaPresse) – All 57 people still on board the Sea-Watch 5 have disembarked in Trapani. This was announced by the NGO itself, which had declared a ‘state of emergency’ on the grounds that ‘the irresponsible blockade imposed by Italy is endangering the 57 survivors, who are exhausted, suffering from seasickness and have fuel burns. They require immediate medical attention to prevent infections and possible cases of sepsis. There is a pregnant woman on board. ‘The Italian authorities’ deafness to their needs is an affront to human rights,’ the NGO emphasises.
