Rome, 27 March (LaPresse) – ‘On Wednesday, my lawyer received formal notification that the magistrate handling this case – who took it on after it was transferred from Cagliari – has in fact already signed the request to dismiss the case.’ This was stated by criminologist Roberta Bruzzone in an interview with “Quarto Grado”, a programme airing this evening on Rete 4. Bruzzone was responding to the stalking allegations that have surrounded her over the past week. "I have endured a week of media horror and smear campaigns, accompanied by delusional, extremely serious accusations, which have drawn an overwhelming amount of hateful comments and death threats against me – already brought to the attention of the Rome Public Prosecutor’s Office – when in reality the request to dismiss the case has already been signed. An investigating magistrate will then assess the whole matter, but this alone reassures me greatly and also gives me a lot of energy to proceed against all those who took part in this appalling media attack," adds Bruzzone.
