Milan, 14 April (LaPresse) – ‘At Booking.com, the security and protection of our users’ data are a top priority. We have recently detected some suspicious activity linked to unauthorised access by third parties to certain booking information belonging to our users.’ Booking.com states this in a press release regarding the breach of personal data of some of its customers, a story reported by The Guardian and confirmed by the online accommodation booking company. “As soon as the anomaly was identified, we took prompt action to contain it. We have also updated the PIN codes associated with the affected bookings and informed the users concerned,” the Booking.com statement further emphasises.
