Crans Montana, 4 other people under investigation: among them former mayor of Chermignon

Rome, 16 April. (LaPresse) – The Sion prosecutor's office has entered new names in the register of suspects for the Crans-Montana tragedy. Among these is Patrick Clivaz, city councilor with responsibility for security, who was summoned before Swiss prosecutors on 11 May. Benjamin Charpiot, deputy head of security, will be heard on 12 May. The following day it will be the turn of Jean-Claude Savoy, former mayor of Chermignon. Finally, Jérémie Rey, city councilor responsible for construction safety, will be interrogated on June 3. Another interrogation of Jacques Moretti, investigated together with his wife Jessica, owner of the Le Constellation restaurant where the tragedy occurred, is scheduled for June 5. Meanwhile, the parallel investigation by the Rome Public Prosecutor's Office continues, coordinated by prosecutor Stefano Opilio, who has entered the Moretti couple on the register of suspects on charges of multiple manslaughter, negligent disaster and fire and injuries aggravated by the violation of accident prevention regulations. The number of people under investigation in various capacities by the Sion prosecutor's office therefore rises to 13.
