Rome, 1 May (LaPresse) – The detention of Eitan Bondì, the 21-year-old who on 25 April fired several pellets from an airsoft gun at two ANPI activists outside Schuster Park in Rome, was not upheld during the validation hearing. The 21-year-old has, however, been placed under house arrest as a precautionary measure, as ordered by the investigating magistrate, who reclassified the offence from attempted murder and unlawful possession of weapons to attempted grievous bodily harm with aggravating circumstances. The hearing took place at Regina Coeli prison in Rome in the presence of defence lawyer Cesare Gai.
