Hantavirus, Schillaci: ‘There is no danger in Italy today’

Rome, 11 May (LaPresse) – ‘I am here to reassure everyone that there is no danger in Italy today.’ This was stated by Health Minister Orazio Schillaci, in an interview with Tg1, regarding the Hantavirus. The minister added that this is a virus ‘very different’ from Covid as it has ‘low contagiousness’. ‘We took immediate action,’ he added, ‘we are ready but we want to reassure everyone.’ As for the circular the ministry is preparing, ‘it is important for taking stock of the international epidemiological situation and providing information to the regions’.
