Rome, May 31 (LaPresse) – A patrol from the Ostia police district, deployed as part of security services for the Giro d'Italia along Rome's coastline, ordered a suspicious car to stop. The vehicle fled, striking two girls who suffered minor abrasions. The chase ended in Via Capo Sperone when the police car collided with the suspects' vehicle. Burglary tools were found inside the car. The two suspects were arrested, while the girls were taken to Grassi Hospital in Ostia. The two underage girls who were hit by the car fleeing from police this morning in Via Capo Sperone, Ostia, were treated in the emergency department of Grassi Hospital and discharged with a prognosis of 10 days each. The two occupants of the small car were arrested on charges of attempted murder and resisting a public officer.
