Pope: "The world cries out for justice and peace"

Montserrat Abbey (Barcelona, Spain), June 10 (LaPresse) – "I am pleased to be able to come to the feet of the Moreneta" (as the Virgin of Montserrat is called, patron saint of Catalonia, editor’s note), "to entrust to her, full of confidence in her maternal intercession, my Petrine ministry and the mission of the Church in the world, which cries out for justice and peace." This was said by Pope Leo XIV in a speech delivered at the Abbey of Our Lady of Montserrat after the recitation of the rosary. "Let us ask Mary, Queen of Peace, to teach us to renounce offensive words, hasty judgment, slander and defamation. And may we learn to preserve and cultivate love in families, among friends, in the workplace, on social networks, in political debates and in Christian communities, so that hatred may give way to hope and peace," added Prevost.
