Public procurement: Denis Verdini to stand trial; proceedings begin in Rome on 16 September

Rome, 12 June (LaPresse) – The trial of Denis Verdini, a former MP who has been committed for trial in the investigation into Anas contracts, is set to begin on 16 September at the Court of Rome. In the same proceedings, manager Domenico Petruzzelli was sentenced in a fast-track trial to one year and four months and was acquitted of the charge of bid-rigging. Verdini is charged with corruption. The preliminary hearing judge also accepted the plea bargain request for two years and ten months, to be served consecutively, for his son Tommaso Verdini.
