Bollate, Milan, 13 June (LaPresse) – Alberto Stasi left Bollate prison, near Milan, this morning to serve the remainder of his sentence under the supervision of social services. Stasi left through a side entrance of the prison at around 10.30 am. He left via an exit far from the main entrance, where numerous journalists were gathered. Stasi was definitively convicted of the murder of Chiara Poggi, which took place on 13 August 2007 in Garlasco, in the province of Pavia. He had been detained at Bollate prison since December 2015. For over a year, he had been benefiting from a day-release scheme, for work reasons, which allowed him to spend part of the day outside the prison, with the obligation to return every evening.
